What if I’m not home for my delivery?
- You do not have to be home for your delivery. We ask that all locations must be marked. We supply a blue or orange cone for you to place where you would like the material(s) to be dropped. Or you can mark the location with something you have at home (ex. A grade stake, a tarp, a 5-gallon bucket, a milk crate etc.).
Can you call me when the driver is on their way?
- No, our in-house volume is too busy to make call ahead phone calls. Please have your location marked to make the delivery location clear and go smoothly.
What time will my delivery come?
- We cannot give a specific time for your delivery to arrive. We have multiple trucks going to many different towns & states and it is too difficult to pin down a time. Given no emergency situations we can guarantee a day your delivery will arrive and try our best to give a window of either before noon or after noon time as an ESTIMATED time frame.
Can my delivery be dumped in more than one location?
- Yes, we can dump in no more than 2 different locations, per delivery. We cannot guarantee that it would be half & half and we cannot guarantee the amount that comes out of the truck bed per location.
- Unless a particular truck is specified; for scheduling purposes, Acres Edge reserves the right to send a different truck; sometimes larger than necessary to complete your order.
Can the delivery driver deliver to a specific location like my yard/back yard?
- WEATHER PERMITTING. Our office staff & driver will determine whether they feel comfortable driving or delivering to a specific location other than your driveway. Keep in mind our office staff and our delivery driver have the right to refuse a delivery location. Please have a plan B if we cannot dump your product in the desired location. Circumstances we think about when considering a delivery location are:
- Has it rained recently? Is the ground wet or soft?
- With New England weather, at times, the ground can be too soft for our heavy trucks. Making roads and areas impassable for our trucks that may still be passable for other vehicles such as, cars, pick-up trucks, and even garden tractors. For this reason, it is very important to have an alternate delivery area planned.
- Is the ground flat/level?
- Is there any low hanging trees or wires?
- Is there any underground utilities, septic, leach field?
- Has it rained recently? Is the ground wet or soft?
Can I pay the driver when he gets here?
- All deliveries must be paid for before the material leaves our yard. You can bring your payment into our office, or you can make your payment over the phone.
Can you deliver more than one kind of material in the same truck?
- No, our trucks do not have dividers to keep the materials separate so we would have to deliver each material in a separate truck.
Is a yard the same as a ton?
- No, a yard is measured by volume and a ton is measured by weight. A ton is 2,000 lbs. and a yard is approx. 3,000 lbs.
How much does a “yard” cover?
- A “yard” will cover approximately a 10’ x 10’ area 2-3” thick.
Can I pick up my paver/block order the same day?
- In most cases, we ask that you give us a days’ notice so we have time to pull your order. If you purchase full pallets or what we already have stacked on a pallet, you would be able to pick up same day.
How much material do I need?
- Measure the area you are trying to cover (width, length, and depth) and visit our website and use our yardage calculator to determine the amount of material you’ll need. You can use this calculator to determine the coverage area for mulch, topsoil, landscape stones, sand, or any other material. If you have any further questions, we’d be happy to help!
Are your prices listed online?
- Yes, you can scan our QR code on the home page of our website to view our pricelists for our products and we have a separate QR code for Unilock. Pricing is subject to change without notice.
Do you provide services for cutting material?
- No.
**Please note that any cancelations or alterations to your existing order must be made the day before your scheduled delivery. With fluctuating fuel costs, we reserve the right to assess a fuel charge**
